CBC Hiking (and Canoeing) Group – June 20 at Burke Lake Park
Join us for our next CBC Hiking Group outing on Saturday, June 20! We’ll meet at the park at 3:00 PM for a half-day of canoeing or hiking, followed by a picnic and fellowship together outdoors.
Canoes are $25 each and can hold two paddlers plus one or two small children. If you would like to canoe, please reserve a spot on the Fairfax County Parks website here: https://fairfax.usedirect.com/FairfaxFCPAWeb/ACTIVITIES/Search.aspx?place_id=7788&search_text=rental
If you have your own canoe/kayak, you are allowed to use it, but you must provide your own flotation devices.
For those who prefer not to canoe, there are several easy hiking trails around the lake to enjoy.
Bring a picnic dinner for yourself and your family, and we'll find a spot in the park to tailgate and eat dinner after all the activities.
Please note that non–Fairfax County residents must pay a $12 park entrance fee per vehicle, so we encourage carpooling when possible.
There’s something for everyone, so make plans to join us for a fun and relaxing day together!
